a beautiful mistake happened today =))

Thursdays

Its been a month since school started. frankly i've become very accustomed to uni life.. a bit too accustomed that i've developed several bad habits: (1) waking up at 10 in the morning and still feel lethargic, (2) sleeping past 1 in the morning with my hair wet, (3) going out every single day. pig indeed. i'm in a sort of semi-tai tai life, being a student most of the week and then doing housework on fridays, sometimes cooking for my family and friends. not too sure if its healthy for my acedemics. heh.

but anyways, as much as i'm getting used to school life, i'm really beginning to hate thursdays. a 6 hour day with 2 consecutive lectures that starts at 10 and ends at 6 with only 2-4 in the afternoon for a quick lunch and then hitting the books for at least a hour again can really kill, especially if the last lecture of the day is lit. i have come to appreciate the idea of not living in a hostel because the thought that i can quickly scamper to the safety and protection of my little room at home is beyond comforting. imagine if i lived on campus.. there would be no delight in the ending of lectures cos all you look forward to is travelling to another part of that entrapped institute to that tiny hole you call your room and never really LEAVE the school whether physically or psychologically cos you are just enveloped by it regardless of whether you like it or not. THAT SCARES ME. reminds me of the never ending circles that the characters i'm studying in post modern literature are ensnared in, this idea of entrapment. so real, no? my deepest sympathies to those living in halls. whether its cos you want to make your uni life more interesting, by busying yourselves with hall activities or to look for friends or whatever it is... that void that humans are trying to fill will probably never be satisfied, something that i've learnt in lit class.

my head is imploding and i still have a pile of readings undone. i really hate thursdays.
